Pada suatu hari di sekolah, seorang murid bertanya pada gurunya. Ketika itu guru tersebut sedang mengajar mengenai kasih sayang...


MURID : "Cikgu, mcm mana kita nk pilih s'sorang yang terbaik sbg org yg paling kita syg? Mcm mana juga kasih syg itu nk berkekalan?"

CIKGU : "Ok, kamu ikut ape yg sy suruh. Kamu pergi ke padang, kamu berjalan di atas rumput sambil memandang rumput di depan kamu. Pilih yg PALING cantik tanpa menoleh ke belakang lagi walau sekali. Dah petik rumput yang PALING cantik, bawa ke kelas."


Apabila murid tersebut pulang, tiada sehelai rumput pun di tangannya. Cikgu bertanya "kenapa tiada rumput yg dipilih?"


MURID : "Tadi masa saya berjalan, saya carilah rumput yg paling cantik, mmg ada byk yg cantik tp cikgu kata petik yg PALING cantik, maka saya pun terus berjalan ke depan sambil mencari yg paling cantik tanpa menoleh ke belakang lg. Tapi, sampai dipenghujung padang, saya tak jumpa pun paling cantik. Mungkin ada di antara yg belakang saya tadi rumput yg paling cantik tapi cikgu dh ckp jgn menoleh ke belakang semula, jadi tiadalah rumput yg boleh saya petik..."


CIKGU : "Ya, itulah jawapannya. Maknanya apabila kita telah berjumpa dgn s'sorang yg kita syg, jgnlah kita mencari lg yg lebih baik dari itu. Kita patut hargai org yg berada di depan kita sebaik²nya. Jgn kita menoleh ke belakang lg kerana yg dh berlaku tetap dh berlaku. Semoga yg berlalu takkan berulang lg. Dan ingatlah, org yg paling kita syg itulah yg paling baik dan paling cantik. Maupun jika nk di ikutkan ramai lg yg cantik dan baik seperti rumput tadi...."
